A Global Perspective

Each international move required her to rebuild professionally and personally from the ground up — adapting to new cultures, industries, and evolving markets. These experiences shaped her resilience, sharpened her adaptability, and strengthened her ability to navigate change with clarity and confidence.
Her journey has given her a global perspective and taught her resilience, adaptability and agility while navigating change, transition and disruption.
Living Fully Intentionally – With Joy, Balance and Purpose
As a seasoned marketing strategist and two-time cancer survivor, Ruchira brings a deeply human perspective shaped by lived experience and a commitment to living and leading with intention.
When she was diagnosed with Stage 1 ALK-positive lung cancer, she approached the experience the same way she had approached many of life’s challenges — with determination, research, and a problem-solving mindset.
“I’m a problem solver by nature, so when I was diagnosed with Stage 1 ALK-positive lung cancer, I knew immediately that I had to get to work and was going to figure this out. I wanted to survive, heal, and ultimately thrive. I was determined to face the situation with courage, hope, and the best possible mindset.
When a second diagnosis—Stage IV metastatic ALK-positive lung cancer—followed five months later, it reinforced a deeper truth: life is unpredictable and resilience is not about control or predictability. It’s not about being strong or holding it together either. It is about how you live and lead yourself through uncertainty, again and again.”
Her experience with cancer profoundly reshaped the way she views life, health, work, and purpose.
Today, she lives fully with cancer far more intentionally — prioritizing well-being, meaningful relationships, presence, and work that creates genuine impact. Rather than stepping back from life, she choses joy, purpose and balance.
Alongside her work in technology marketing, Ruchira contributes to patient advocacy, storytelling, and health and wellness initiatives that elevate the patient voice and experience. She serves as a patient partner, advocate, and volunteer health coach, supporting individuals in building sustainable habits, strengthening self-management skills, and working toward their health and wellness goals.
Her commitment to advocacy extends into research and education through her participation in the Citizen Scientist Program with LUNGevity Foundation, where she brings the patient voice into research and
For her, this work is an act of service – Seva — a way to transform personal adversity into meaningful contribution.
She is currently working on books exploring resilience, survivorship, communication, and the lived experience of cancer.
